Cuba Mission

 

There is an urgent need in Cuba for medicines and medical supplies.  On September 11-25, 2009,

we have a mission team going to Cuba.  Our team would love to take a large supply to them.

Request For Medicines And Medical Supplies For Cuba Mission

 

Medicines needed urgently:

 

Antifungal medications - creams and tablets

Antivirals - gel and tablets (zostrix, etc.)

Antibiotics - cream and tablets (high dose pills are good because less is required, and greater compliance is obtained)

Cold medication - tablets and liquid

Anti-inflammatory tablets

Antiemetics - tablets and injections

Antidiarrheals - tablets

Peripheral circulation medications - tabs, cremes and rectal ointments

Zantac, Tagamet and the like - tablets

Antacids - tablets

Multivitamins - tablets

 

Also needed:

 

Floxacin and medicines for cystitis (urinary tract infections)

Hypertension medications (those ending in "pril" are most known and used in Cuba)

Diuretics

Potassium

Antihistamines - and allergy meds such as Claritin

Benadryl

Expectorants (which are only expectorants, with no additives)

Bronchodilators - both sprays for emergencies and for ongoing treatment

Vaginal creams or suppositories for yeast infections

Prenatal vitamins

B-complex vitamins

Calcium vitamins

Insulin needles and syringes

Insulin/oral medications for diabetes

Nonsteroidal analgesics

Antipyretics (Tylenol is best known)

Nasal vasoconstrictors

Birth control pills

 

Medical equipment needed:

 

Immobilizers (the metal strips lined with foam) for fingers on both hands, including thumbs, wrists and arms

Sutures

Syringes

Rubber gloves
