Worship Service

Worship Services are at 8:15, 9:45 & 11:15 Sunday mornings.  Our worship services center on praise, prayer, singing, the sacraments, and the study of the Holy Scriptures.  Our 8:15 service is a traditional service; 9:45 Crosswalk is a Contemporary service; and 11:15 is an informal service.  Special worship services are held on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday during Lent as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

Sunday School Program

Sunday school classes are offered for children, youth, and adults at 9:45am and 11:15am.  At 11:15, we offer a special Pre-school program for ages 2-4; K.I.D.S (Kids In Divine Service) Worship for K–3rd grade; classes for 4th & 5th grade students; and combined middle and senior high class called “Solid Rock”.  Other adult small groups meet at 9:45 & 11:15.  The full list of Sunday school classes with room assignments is available here.
 

Child Care Ministry

We provide child care in our nursery for infants-24 mos. for all three worship services.  Led by our experienced Child Care Teacher and Asst. Teacher, we provide lots of TLC for children.  A pager system is utilized to contact parents if needed.
 

Children & Family Ministries

Our Church is blessed with a large number of families with young children.  Under the leadership of Children & Family Ministries, we offer a variety of children’s and adult/parent programs throughout the year including Vacation Bible School, Easter Egg Hunt, Advent Fair, Amazing Maize Maze, Route 456 for 4th-6th graders, and outings for the entire family.
 

United Methodist Youth(6-12 grade)

Our Church has an active youth ministry led by the Director of Student Ministries.  We participate in Bible studies, prayer breakfasts, retreats, mission trips (CCC, Guatemala missions, 30 Hour Famine), local service projects, and monthly fellowship events (skating, concerts, etc.).  Our weekly meeting is from 6:00-8:00PM on Sunday evenings in the fellowship hall.
 

Church League Sports

Our church is active in Church League Basketball.  Our focus is on fellowship and the “team” concept.  We seek to represent Christ on the court.
 

Scouts

We charter several Boy Scout Troops, Cub Scout Packs and support a number of Girl Scout Troops.  Scouts meet in our facilities weekly and participate in many church activities and mission projects alongside our congregation.  Select a program below for more information.

United Methodist Women

The UMW is a mission-oriented group focusing on local and international outreach local including support of nursing homes, meals for families, and other UMC conference initiatives.  We offer four small group fellowships which meet morning and evening: Mary Martha Fellowship, Friendship Circle; Fellowship Circle, and Circle of Joy.
 

United Methodist Men

The UMM sponsor a Red Cross Blood Drive six times/year, annual Brunswick Stew, college scholarship for youth once/year and assist with various work projects in the community and on the ORUMC campus.
 

Senior Adults

We have an active ministry for older adults with special trips, study programs, activities, mission projects and fellowship meals.
 

Choirs

A variety of music lifts our hearts and souls in worship and praise to God each Sunday morning.  We enjoy traditional hymns, praise & worship, contemporary and gospel.  We have a children’s choir, youth choir, youth praise band, Chancel Choir, N’Praise, and Crosswalk Band.
 

TLC Small Groups

Small groups of 10-15 people meet regulary for Christian faith studies, prayer, fellowship, and service projects.  These groups are about building relationships with God and with others.
