Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7
Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

08-20-2009 @ 06:48:55 AM Good morning! I would like to ask that Arthur "Junebug" Moore , as well as Carolyn Bivens, receive a prayer for that he has been hospitalized multiple times over the past few months. He was initially diagnosed with cancer which was treated and thought to have been all removed, only in the past week to have been diagnosed again and told it had spread to his stomach and pancrease. Arthur is the brother of a coworker of mine, Carolyn Bivens. Carolyn and I have worked together, telephonically, for 5 years. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a fine individual and only meeting her once have spoken to her everyday for the past 5 years. She is a very strong individual who has seen her family pass away from cancer. She has 8 siblings of which 4 have deceased from this disease. I am saddened to see the struggles and fears that she faces but also know that her strength and believe in God will help her through these rough times.Thank you so much for your time.Stephanie lykins
